Personal home uroflow monitor

Measure your urine flow at home

FlowSelfie connects to your phone over Bluetooth and records your flow curve, peak flow rate, total volume, and voiding duration — so you can track changes over time.

What FlowSelfie measures

Three key parameters — recorded automatically during each voiding session.

Qmax

Peak flow rate (ml/s)

The maximum speed your urine reaches during a measurement.

Volume

Total volume (ml)

Total amount of urine voided per session, calculated from sensor weight readings.

Duration

Voiding time (s)

How long the active flow lasted, measured from first to last detected drop.

How it works

Three steps from setup to result.

  1. Position

Place FlowSelfie on a flat surface and start a session in the app.

  2. Measure

The strain-gauge sensor records weight changes during voiding.

  3. Read

Your phone receives the result over Bluetooth and draws a flow curve.

Understanding your flow curve

Uroflow curves can reveal patterns worth discussing with your clinician. FlowSelfie records the full curve so you can share it as a PDF.

Bell-shaped

Normal — symmetric smooth curve with a rapid rise and gradual fall.

Plateau

Possible obstruction — a sustained low-flow phase, sometimes seen with prostate enlargement or stricture.

Staccato

Possible dyssynergia — interrupted flow with step-like drops.

Common questions

Is FlowSelfie a medical device?

FlowSelfie is a personal monitoring tool. It is not certified as a medical device in your region and does not replace clinical examination. The device measures urine flow at home so you can track changes over time and share readings with your clinician.

How accurate is FlowSelfie compared to a clinic uroflowmeter?

FlowSelfie uses a strain-gauge weight sensor and reports peak flow within ±2% and volume within ±1 ml. Real-world accuracy depends on factors like container alignment, posture, and stream geometry — different from a clinic device but comparable for home tracking purposes.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Bluetooth pairing and on-device memory let you measure and view results entirely offline. Internet is only needed if you choose to sync to the cloud or share results.
